Olympia's Valley Estate, Petaluma CA

From the very first time I met Kendall and John at Marine Layer, I knew I adored them. What started as a wedding consult turned into a full-on hangout where we talked about everything: politics, life goals, recycling, Kendall’s love of photography, engineering, and of course... wine! We wrapped up that meeting already making plans for our next outing.

Since then, we’ve had drinks around town and dinner on their beautiful sunset deck, and every time I leave feeling so lucky they brought me into their circle. These two are kind, thoughtful, hilarious, and just really good people. I'm so happy to call them friends!

Their wedding day at Olympia’s Valley Estate in Petaluma was nothing short of stunning. The weather was that rare kind of perfect—not too hot, not too windy, just golden and glowing from start to finish. Olympia’s is already one of the most photogenic venues around (and was just named one of Vogue's top 20 wedding venues), but Kendall and John made it feel even more special. Every detail reflected their personalities—elegant but easy, intentional but relaxed.

One of the things I loved most about the day was the energy their people brought. Their friends and family were just as lovely as they are—warm, welcoming, and clearly so excited to celebrate these two. There were heartfelt toasts that had us laughing one minute and tearing up the next (yes, me included). The ceremony was beautiful and personal, and the evening light rolled in just in time for those golden-hour portraits that make Olympia’s such a dream location.

Danielle and I had the best time photographing everything. From the quiet in-between moments to the big, joyful ones—it all felt like such an honest reflection of Kendall and John. And isn’t that the best kind of wedding day?
